Are these symptoms affecting you?

sore muscles

Painful muscles can prevent you from concentrating on tasks

Tired & Lethargic

A lack of activity can discourage and demotivate you from making progress

Without your full strength, you can’t give work at your best

Joint pain

Achey joints can be a real nuisance, preventing you from doing everyday tasks

Reduced Mobility

A lack of flexibility can be frustrating and distracting

Muscle Tears

Injuries will hold you back from reaching your performance goals whatever sport you play

The source of these PROBLEMS

The following areas are typically the source of the highlighted symptoms

When you push your body to the limit during training and competitions, it can reach breaking point resulting in damage that inhibits your progress

When your muscles are exposed to the same movement over a consistent period of time, they’ll become strained resulting in discomfort and pain

Sitting at a desk for long periods of time with poor posture will result in extra pressure being applied to your neck, back and shoulders resulting in a build up of tension

How physiotherapy CAN HELP YOU

Physiotherapy aims to address the root problems causing your pain while also providing temporary relief where necessary

These techniques are all about focusing on the problematic areas in your body rather than providing a sense of emotional relief

By loosening the muscles that have become tense and knotted, it allows the affected area to become easier to break down

By carefully applying extra pressure in rhythmic motions, the muscle tension will dissipate and return to it’s normal positioning

Experienced physiotherapist

It’s one thing understanding which areas in the body need treatment and what type of movement to apply, but it’s another thing altogether having the confidence to apply these techniques. This confidence only comes through practice, something our therapists have years of experience in doing.

free Consultation Time

Do you think it’s fair to pay for an hour of treatment and only receive 45 minutes? Neither do we. For every treatment at Deserved Massage, we make sure that you get the full amount of time that you pay for. We do this by adding extra padding time for undressing / redressing and consultation. That way, you won’t feel any need to watch the clock.

Calm Environment

Many physiotherapists set up their working environment like doctor’s surgery to give an air of professionalism - which we totally get. However, they forget one crucial detail. Clients will get better results if they are relaxed. As such, we’ve made sure our therapy rooms are booth relaxing and clinically sound.

Easy to get to

The whole point of getting a physio treatment is to feel better about yourself, so it makes no sense getting all worked up about travelling to get one. Located in Finnieston, between the City Centre & West End of Glasgow, our studio is extremely easy to get to from all parts of the city.

The difference between physiotherapy and massage

Massage treatments are designed to provide fast relief of muscular pain and discomfort. By applying the right level of pressure to areas of tension in your body, they will become released, freeing you up to live and work at your best again

While physiotherapy treatments often include a massage to temporarily relieve pain and increase movement, most of the session will involve assessment, looking at your lifestyle and helping you understand exercises that will help get rid of your problems over the long-term

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future. It takes a holistic approach that involves the patient directly in their own care.

Is Physiotherapy Only For Athletes?

No, the techniques used during your treatment are applicable to anyone who is suffering from injuries.

Do Techniques Differ Between Physio & Sports Therapy?

In most cases, the techniques used in physio and sports therapy are largely the same. The real difference between these treatments though is that after physiotherapy sessions, you will receive advice on exercises to do at home to prevent the issues from recurring.

Will The Treatment Hurt?

The truth is that those stubborn clumps of muscle need to be broken down for you to feel free again so when we apply pressure to them, it can be a bit sore.

With that in mind, many people actually quite enjoy the sensation as can be quite cathartic.

How Quickly Will I Notice Results?

Right away! Although each treatment gives different results, we are confident that you will get results right away after your treatment has finished whether that is in the form of relaxation or pain relief!

When Should I Avoid Treatments?

If the following apply to you, then you should avoid booking a massage treatment:

  • If you are sick
  • If you’re pregnant (pre-12 weeks)
  • If you have inflammation
  • If you are suffering from nausea
  • If you have bruises, wounds, rashes, or severe sunburn in areas you’d like a massage
  • If your doctor does not recommend you receive at treatment

How Often Should I Book In?

It’s difficult to say exactly how many you need because every person is different. Some of our clients just need one session every few months, others get a treatment every week.

The best way to understand what you need is by following the expert advice of our therapists. Before and after every session, they’ll give you a clear understanding of where you’re at and help you figure out what you need to do next to achieve results going forward.

Do You Do Walk-Ins?

We are an appointment-only physiotherapy studio in Glasgow. Therefore, we do not offer walk-ins. If you’d like to book a treatment, just click here.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

Officially, our cancellation policy is that you need to give 24-hours notice before your treatment to cancel.

However, wake up the morning of your treatment and are too sick, we’ll happily re-schedule you.

Unfortunately, we can’t refund you if you forget your treatment though.

How Much Does It Cost?

Initial treatments are £60 and last longer, allowing your physiotherapist more time to give you a full assessment.

Follow up treatments are £45.
